Just A Body

I started this painting to remind myself that our bodies are ever-changing pieces of art ✨Although I encourage everyone to do what feels good to them, I feel like the perfectionism in treating our bodies as projects where we want to achieve the perfect figure, the perfect face or a certain glow on our skin with the most complex and expensive treatments has gotten out of hand. Personally, I hate to see people going for the same features and looking more and more alike. As an artist, I think every detail matters and it tells a story that can be discovered. I want to see the wrinkles you got from smiling so much, how your belly folds when you relax and the grey hair that you are trying to pull out every day. It shows me that, life is going through you the same way it goes through me, and that we are connected through the time we are allowed to spend on this earth. 💘
